Our Founder

In the early 2000s, Mr. Farney recognized a need for a campus community where ambitious finance students could come together to share ideas about markets and investing. To fill this gap, he started the Aggie Investment Club with its original 20 members.

Over the last two decades, AIC has grown into Mays’ largest student-run organization guided by the same principles on which it was founded: the best ideas are developed and strengthened through collaboration.

Mr. Farney continues to support AIC through speaker events and his tenured advice. He currently leads his own independent advisory firm in Austin, Texas, where he resides with his wife and daughters.
